The place for the mushroom curious…

Field Trips are immersive fungi + foresight experiences, taking you into the living, breathing world of mushrooms, the people driving the culture and how fungi are impacting our futures.

what is a Field trip?

Field trips

Heads, hands and hearts immersive field trips (in an actual field) to help solve a challenge, as an add-on to Spore-tel or Spore-prints briefs. Or just to experience the fun of fungi - solo or as a team.

Useful for: Shroom-spiration / Company away-day / Getting unstuck / Innovation / Mind expansion / Ingredient research

    • Sporesight travel expenses outside of UK for Myco-trek 01 or 02

  • From urban foraging to the wild wilderness at the best times of year for mushroom foraging - we celebrate the magical world of fungi. However, we will only do so safely, accessibly and inclusively.

    We go to places where:

    • Mushroom culture is thriving, growing or sporulating

    • We have strong networks with great people

    • Eco-tourism is encouraged

We will not support places where:

    • Guests would feel unsafe

    • Active warzones, high conflict areas or political unrest

    • Discriminatory laws or social hostility towards LGBTQIA+ or any racial group

    • Mushroom foraging is not legal (we believe it should be legal everywhere, with guidelines and education, but until this happens we will follow local laws)

Please reach out if you know of a location we should explore!

  • Mycology is about the power of citizen science. It’s pioneered by everyday people with a passion for mushrooms. This ethos informs our Myco-treks with an inclusive, ‘every human (and mushroom) welcome’ approach.

    This means:

    • Access for all. We’re anti-ableist and adapt where we can. But remote foraging isn’t always accessible—tell us your needs, and we’ll do our best.

    • Cross-level collabs. Magic happens when the C-suite treks with interns, marketers, and sustainability leads.

    • We respect and protect ancestral and Indigenous wisdom—no extraction, no claims of ownership over mushrooms, no going where we’re not invited.

    • We support local communities, economies, and suppliers.

    • We forage while keeping ecosystems intact.

    • We teach sustainable harvesting methods.

    • We leave no trace—respect wildlife, minimise waste, protect habitats.

    • We give back—a portion of proceeds funds local conservation efforts.

    • We choose low-impact travel—eco stays, shared transport, carbon offsets, no/low plastic.
